Out East

For the summer of 2019, Skidmore Gallery presents Out East, an exhibition of fine art limited edition prints exclusively published by ULAE. Curated by Marie Tennyson, this exhibition revolves around the artists that retreated to the original ULAE studio at 5 Skidmore Place each year to collaborate and create prints, as well as the contemporary artists that followed in their tradition. The ideal show to see on your way out to the Hamptons, Out East is a nod to the time-honored ritual of exchanging the summer heat and grit of New York City for the breeze, nature, and beaches of Long Island.

The exhibition pairs prints by Larry Rivers, Helen Frankenthaler, Robert Rauschenberg, Jasper Johns, Grace Hartigan, and Lee Bontecou with new editions by Sam Moyer, Eddie Martinez, Wyatt Kahn, Julia Rommel, Michael Williams, and Martha Tuttle.
